Do you instruct posing?

Yes, but I also love to do candid shots. I love to produce images that have meaning and emotion behind them. Although you may be "posed", you don't have to stay very still unless asked to.

How much retouching do you do?

I do minimal retouching on coloring and tones. I remove distracting objects in the background and sometimes even add some sun flares (love sun flares). If asked, I can remove blemishes and tattoos. I try to edit the photos in a way that would be pleasing to the eye and in a way that I would like my photos to look if I were to get photos done.

How do you prefer to communicate?

I prefer to communicate through call or text. Email is fine, but I'm one of those people that has 2,000+ unread emails;)

Do you deliver RAW or unedited photos?

No, I do not deliver RAW or unedited images unless I am contacted about being a second shooter for another company and we have a signed contract stating that. My edits, like art, are a depiction of my work.

Do I own copyright to images once delivered to me?

No, copyright is owned by the photographer. The digital images that I provide are for personal use only, such as social media or photo albums. Personal use means that you cannot make money off the images and only you (the client) can post the images that you are given/ purchased within that session package. If a family member would like digital copies of the images as well, they can contact me and purchase digital copies of the images they like. Unless purchased, the images on my online gallery are for viewing purposes only.

How do I get my images?

You will receive a link to an album where you can easily download from for the digitals.

How far in advance should I book?

I ask that you try to book at least 2 weeks in advance form the date that you contact me and determine that you would like for me to capture your moments.

What is your rescheduling policy?

I ask that if you can, To try to reschedule at least a week in advance from your shoot. If that is not possible, please let me know that you need to reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. When holding your date that you originally booked, I am turning away potential clients that could have booked that date/time. If you do need to reschedule something like a themed mini for example, there is no guarantee that I will have access to the same props or location and no guarantee that an additional fee will not be required. We can reschedule once free of charge, but the second time is an upcharge of $50.

What if I am running late?

I normally try to give a little time for when the shoot is supposed to start, about 15 minutes. If you are not at the location come 15 minutes after, then we will have to reschedule. I try to tell people to be 15 minutes early to their shoot.

What's your payment structure?

Simple, the 50% retainer is due first and then the rest is due the day before your session. For weddings, I do a 20% retainer and the remaining payment is due 30 days before the wedding. I also offer payment plans for weddings.

What if my kids have a meltdown?

We can work through it! I may not have children of my own, but I have tons of young family members and I have worked with many children, so I know how it is sometimes. Not to mention I adore children, meltdowns and all. We can focus on something else or take a short break to let them run around and play and then try again. Normally I try to speak to them and let them know that mommy/daddy is here to have fun with them and that's what matters most. So the sooner they can smile, the sooner they get to have fun.

What is your refund policy?

Once your date is booked, the retainer that you put down is non-refundable. Once the session has been completed, the final payment is non-refundable as well. You are paying for my time and services such as holding the date and time that you have booked, taking the images, posing you, and editing the images. Though, I have never had anyone ask for a refund;)
